In the port city of Antwerp in Belgium, a non-profit counselling center Wingerdbloei works with young people and families. Wingerdbloei offers help in difficult parenting situations and provides residential facilities for young people in need. The counselling center has about 160 employees and supports 200 families in Antwerp.
The Problem with Personal Data Protection
According to the Director of Support Services at Wingerdbloei, the work process with families is organized via Dynamics 365 and SharePoint: the CRM holding families’ data files, and SharePoint – the related documents, one directory per family.
“In a standard integration between Dynamics 365 and SharePoint, the directories in SharePoint are open to all our instructors, no matter if they work with this particular family or not. Obviously, it is a violation of privacy and the GDPR”, says Ben Born.
Searching for Solution
As the Director of Support Services explains, Wingerdbloei started searching for a solution to missing synchronization for permissions and privileges immediately. But unfortunately, their consultant – an IT company who was dealing with the CRM installation, could not help. “So, we just started googling.
